CANAL TOURS INFORMATION PAGE

CANAL TOURS  run small-group cruises on the canals of Europe. Share soft adventure with nice people. Trips last one or two weeks. Dropping back a couple of centuries, you float through remote parts of England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and France.

We are a small company with a big vision. Geoff Bruce has over 30 years experience as a sea captain and instructor. Born and raised in England he has an extensive knowledge of the areas where we take our canal cruises. Everyone should take a week or two out of their lifes, drop back in time on the canals and create memories for life. Our cruises are not typically "planned" events. If something catches our eye, we pull over and set off on an adventure. You'll delight at the countryside pubs where we do lunch and dinnner and as the boats can hurtle along at speeds of up to 4 miles per hour, build up an appetite for the great meals and a thirst for beautiful cask ales by pacing the boat. Wine and fruit juices for those who don't imbibe.

Your crew will have an experienced helmsman (person who steers and navigates), and this could be you as we instruct those who are willing. When you (and your Captain) feel secure in your knowledge of the boat, you will enjoy helping out and being part of the scene that others come to watch.

Your Captain, Geoff Bruce, has over 30 years experience on a ship/boat/yacht/etc. Barbara Haines looks after everything that Geoff can not handle.

Prices are adjusted according to the current exchange rate. Don't forget that there are special incentives for families, people traveling with children, special occasions and whatever else you can think of.......

We include a special breakfast on board every morning and also stock the refrigerator and cupboards with tasty snacks to eat during the day.

You visit a little known Europe, meet folk in their village cafes, pubs and markets. You touch remote green beauty; quaint towns; forgotten villages; an unknown civilization. Sharing the running of the boat, managing locks, bridges or helm, is at choice. Sleep and breakfast are on board, lunch and dinner in local pubs. No hammocks! Canal boats have beds and bunks.

You are in the hands of a small personally-managed organization providing laid-back tranquil vacations.  We enjoy these cruises as much as you.  When are they? Click here. Where do they happen? Click here. What to expect onboard? Click here. What does this cost? Click here.
